There's A New Makeup Brand For True-Crime Lovers To Obsess Over

If you enjoy slaying your makeup as much as learning about real life slayings, this one might be for you...

Did you binge The Ted Bundy Tapes right before perfecting your feline flick? Listen to every episode of Serial while queuing for Fenty? Think about Making a Murderer's Steven Avery on a daily basis but also obsess over MACs latest lippy? If you're a lover of true crime but also can't get enough of cosmetics then we may have found you sweet spot: a murder-themed makeup collection.

Crime as a form of entertainment has boomed in the last couple of years, and the beauty industry has never been more lucrative. Murder a Makeup, a morbid collection of cosmetics has cleverly merged the two.

Perfect for those with a fascination with the morbid, the cult brand sells a range of makeup, tools and accessories inspired by all things horrifying.

There's the Cleaning Evidence Sponge (a beauty blender to you and I), the Criminology Forensics Brush Kit, Evidence Marker Lashes, Police Sugar Lip Scrubs, Neon Poisons and the Forensics Felt Tip Eyeliner.

You'll also be able to get your hands on a number of loose eye-shadow shades which have deadly names such as Ricin, Foxglove, Larkspur and Blood, all of which come in test tubes that could genuinely pass for the real thing (minus the pretty shimmery shades inside).

There's also a soon-to-be-launched Crime Scene Trace Evidence Eyeshadow Palette, which looks super exciting.

And gimmicky names and packaging aside, the makeup quality itself is something to be shouted about - a glance at Murder a Makeup's Instagram page shows off some pretty impressive looks that can be achieved with the range.

In terms of price point, you're looking at $8 (£6.44) for the lip scrubs, $9 (£7.25) for the eye-shadows, $12 (£9.66) for beauty blenders, $14 (£11.27) for eyeliners and $29 (£23.36) for the brush kit.

Murder a Makeup is based in the US but, luckily for us, they ship worldwide. Woohoo.

So there it is: if you're just as interested in slaying your makeup as real life slayings, Murder a Makeup could be just what you need.
