It's available on Amazon from £6.50 and people are impressed.

The product description reads: "O'Keeffe's Working Hands is a unique formulation of moisturising ingredients guaranteed to improve the health of your skin.

"Working Hands contains a high concentration of Glycerin that draws in and retains moisture which is necessary for skin to heal.

"Another key component is Allantoin, an odourless, non-toxic and non-allergenic skin-protectant derived from the Comfrey plant. It removes dead skin cells to allow for better penetration and absorption of moisture and moisturising ingredients."

One reviewer said: "Working at night, especially during the winter months when it is cold and damp has resulted in dry cracked skin on my hands as well as areas of rough skin, despite wearing gloves.

"Wasn't sure what to do about it until my wife said that someone she worked with recommended this cream as a miracle cure. Despite my scepticism, I've been married long enough to know not to ignore advice from my wife so I decided to give this a go; and I'm glad I did.

"Daily applications soon cured the dryness and within a week all the cracking had healed; even the rough skin is now smoother."

Another commented: "Seriously good stuff. I've been installing on-roof solar PV systems through December and January and this product has saved my hands from splitting in the cold, wet windy weather. More than met my expectations!"

One person said the hand cream was "incredible" and had was an improvement from creams which costed double the price.

"It has been softening the skin helping it to repair nicely. And boy is this cost effective. A little really does go a long way," they wrote.
