The Islanders are much more influential than we might have first thought.

From what they wear to the vocabulary they use, it's no secret that the stars of Love Island are super influential from the moment they make their debut in the villa.

But while we might not want to admit just how much we are influenced by the Islanders, this revelation from a waxing expert will undoubtedly put things into perspective.

Bikini wax expert Louise Tattersal has revealed that she's seen a huge surge in clients asking a high-leg bikini wax inspired by the Islanders' high cut swimwear, which is now being dubbed the 'Love High-land'.

Louise, owner of Bodilight beauty clinic, told Fabulous how she's seen scores of women asking for the bikini style in recent weeks.

"Ever since the launch of this year's Love Island, requests for high-leg bikini waxing has soared. We're dubbing it The Love High-land," she told the publication.

"With the latest swimwear trends getting higher and skimpier, the desire to have most of the bikini line hair removed is a popular choice for women heading to the beach.

"Even ladies that aren't a fan of a higher leg line designs still opt for a high leg bikini wax, so everything is all neat and tidy with no risk of pubic hair peeping out the sides."

Louise says she has seen a 60 per cent surge for these styles of intimate waxing in the last 12 months, too.

"Love Island is definitely a talking point in the treatment room and it's certainly influenced bookings," she added.

But if you don't fancy a 'Love High-land' bikini line style, Glamour reports that there's plenty of other waxes seeing a surge in popularity, including the 'Edgy Mojo' - a strategically placed triangle to act as an optical illusion to flatter the hips.

There's also the 'Glitter Gram', which is a 2019 festival-inspired take on the vajazzles of yesteryear on top of a Brazilian wax.

We'll just stick with copying the Islanders' wardrobes for now...
