Huda Beauty's New Metallic Power Bullet Lipsticks Have Arrived For Chrismas

With a reality TV show, fragrance brand and a bigger makeup range than you could dream of sampling in a lifetime - you might be surprised to hear that Huda Beauty has never touched the traditional lipstick category. But that's going to change on Monday, 3rd December 2018 with the arrival of the limited edition Huda Beauty Metallic Power Bullet Collection - just in time for Christmas.

Huda took to Instagram on Sunday to announce the launch describing her first line of non-liquid lipsticks as "glittery beauties" but denies using the Kira Kira app in her video because these shimmery, pigmented lipsticks sparkle without it.

Huda explained further in her blog: "Nothing says celebration like shimmers," which explains the three shade names: NYE - a classic red infused with gold and red glitter, Birthday Cake - a pink shade with blue and silver sparkles and After Party - a pinkish purple with berry-hued, blue and silver iridescent flecks.

But while she loves loose glitter, Huda explains in her blog that she didn't want the mess and grit that comes with it. The bullets are formulated with Brazilian Nut and Sweet Almond oil to lock in moisture and make the formula more comfortable and long wearing.

She explains: "I actually love the process of applying lipstick - it's so sensual and just a little bit of time out - so we wanted to ensure the formula glides on easily, without skipping or dragging to make it a truly sensory experience."

The diamond-shaped bullet is designed to cling to the contours of the lips as you apply, providing highly pigmented shimmer in a single swipe.

The packaging is a minimalist ombre that reflects the shade inside then fades to black and which Huda describes on Instagram as "straight from her sketchbook."
