Chanel's Hair Clip Is All Over Instagram - Here's Some Affordable Alternatives

The hair accessory has been dubbed the accessory of 2019, but here's how to nail the style without breaking the bank.

The hair clip is making a long overdue comeback, and is set to be the biggest accessory of the year. You've probably already seen Chanel's dazzling, jewelled pearl clip all over your Instagram feed, but there's no need to break the bank so you can slide one into your own locks.

Brands like ASOS are serving up their own versions that are just as pretty, and while they don't exactly spell out 'Chanel', they come with a much more affordable price tag.

US hair accessories brand My Kitsch sells loads of extra glam slides, and you can position the grips wherever you fancy in your hair, giving your own take on the look.

The Rhinestone Bobby Pins read 'Glam', 'Damn', 'Feelings' or 'Drippin', and are priced at $29, which works out roughly at £22, plus £9 ($13) in shipping fees.

If you want to stick to the bow shape of Chanel's hair clip for your half up, half down 'do, then ASOS's Bow Hair Stick is the perfect alternative, although it's little less sparkly.

Priced at £8, the gold stick simply slides into your hair and is made of metal meaning it'll keep it's shape unlike a ribbon.

And if pearls are more your vibe, jewellery and accessories brand Orelia has the perfect alternative to jazz up your looks.

The Pearl Circle Hair Clip is stocked on ASOS, and is priced at just £10 a pop. It comes in a silver-tone finish, with faux-pearl embellishment and secure-clip fastening.

Each of these snazzy clips can be incorporated into any hair style, whether you're wearing it up or down.

Just slide one into a sleek low bun to hide the fact you skipped a shampoo, or add to a half up, half down look for extra glam on a night out.
