A skin positive beauty blogger has revealed her hero product for acne-scarred skin.

Inspirational Abbie Bull, who has cystic acne, bared her scars on social media to show her 4,000 followers the incredible foundation she uses to cover up blemishes, and it's a brand you will already know and love.

Beauty blogger Abbie uses Huda Beauty's Faux Filter foundation, which boasts a ultra high coverage formula.

Posting her fresh face next to a fully glam one on her own Instagram page, the skin positivity champion wrote: "@hudabeauty faux filter foundation is INSANE. A lot of people ask if it breaks me out even more and it doesn't, I also love the smell of it."

The foundation costs £32 a pop, and the range is fairly inclusive with 30 different shades to choose from. And if you're looking for a more affordable foundation, Abbie also loves Revolution's foundation (£9), concealer (£4) and banana powder (£5).

"I'm determined to get the message out there that we are beautiful with or without makeup, acne sufferers deserve to be in the light as much as anyone else and not feel the need to hide away," she explained.

Hammering the point home that all women should feel comfortable no matter how much or how little make-up they wear, she added: "I CHOOSE to put makeup on because I like being creative, not because I have to. I love myself both ways and you guys should too."

The beauty blogger also shared a make-up tutorial using Huda Beauty's foundation in the shade Crème Brulée on her Youtube channel, Makeup By Abbie B.

Abbie also opened up on how she's learnt to love herself and her skin in a video, titled: "My acne and self love."

She explained how doctors had diagnosed her with cystic acne, prescribing creams and tablets but they only seemed to make it worse.

"People tell me I'm so brave and say 'how can you go outside?' But I've been there," Abbie recalled in the video. "I've had spots that were on my face for months."

Abbie recalled one incident where a customer at work rudely suggested that she needed to change her eating habits to clear up her skin.

She said: "I thought I was disgusting to look at. It took me a few days to bring myself back from that.

"I was so down and grumpy and agitated because of my skin. That's not the person I wanted to be.

"Why should I feel belittled because I have acne or feel judged when I leave the house?"

And in Abbie's words: "Be kind on yourself. Be happy and enjoy life."
