When it comes to concealer, there's a number of affordable products which prove that an expensive price tag isn't always key to achieving a flawless finish.

Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer, which comes in around £4, has been a firm favourite with beauty buffs for years, as has Revolution's Conceal and Define Concealer, also £4. But another affordable product could be about to knock these affordable options from their top spots.

Make-up lovers are currently raving over beauty brand Elf's 16 Hour Camo concealer, and it's equally as cheap at just £5 per tube making it a strong competitor.

Elf, whose products are all cruelty-free, says the product will cover up any dark under-eye circles as well as blemishes. And there are 18 different shades ranging from rich ebony to deep olive and tan latte to light sand to match up to.

Others have compared the product to the famous The Shape Tape concealer from Tarte, which is usually priced at over four times the amount at £23, with some even saying that Elf's is better.

Shoppers have flooded social media with glowing reviews for the Elf product, heaping on praise for its lasting powers and no-budge formula.

"This concealer is awesome! I have dry under eyes but this didn't cake up or crease almost at all. it's definitely full coverage and I think the shades run a little light. I like this better than shape tape," exclaimed one happy customer.

And another echoed: "I don't know what kind of voodoo magic is in this little tube, but it's amazing!! I have fine lines under my eyes and always have issues with creasing... until now. I apply my makeup at 6 AM, and by the time I get home around 6 PM, my under-eye area is still smooth and practically flawless with just the tiniest bit of creasing toward my inner corner. Not even Shape Tape holds up that well on my skin."

With a final shopper adding: "Best [drugstore] concealer I've used in a long time Better than Colourpop, Makeup Rev, Wet n Wild, and Nyx I use this more than my Dior, Chanel, and Marc Jacobs I'm stocking up!"
