Sophia Hadjipanteli has made a successful career for herself as a model, in part thanks to her incredible cheekbones and striking monobrow. But, while the model has been taking the world by storm - she has also received death threats all because of her unique look.

The 22-year-old appeared on Good Morning Britiain where she opened up about how she copes with the negativity she receives from vile online trolls.

With an impressive 303k followers on Instagram, the Cypriot born model, who emigrated first to London and then to the US, has landed some huge international modelling contracts, including Vogue Italia and Rihanna's SAVAGE X FENTY collaboration.

While thousands of people are fans of Sophia's unique look, the model revealed how she has even received death threats from strangers on the internet.

When asked if she likes attention her eyebrow brings, she told Piers Morgan: "Oh I don't like the negative attention. I get a lot of death threats, yeah I do funnily enough. I guess it's not that funny."

Sophia went onto explain how she believes the comments come as a result of living in a society where we're so conditioned to believe people should look a certain way, that people become so enraged when someone looks different.

Although she has always had quite dark eyebrows, Sophia first discovered her distinctive look by accident when she tinted her brows and they went darker than expected. However, she decided to embrace the striking new do and continues to encourage others to look however they want.

Speaking with The Cut in 2018, she said: "I really wanted to push people to look at me and to look at a unibrow - which they've been conditioned to think it's kind of weird and something you should get rid of - for them to still say that I was beautiful with this textbook 'unattractive' thing.

"I never really based my self-confidence on how others treated me, because at school I was bullied at lot for things that were not focused on my face - my outfit, having parents that were immigrants, we didn't speak English, being the smallest in my class.

"Growing up in a conservative area of Maryland, being different isn't really accepted so that - I hate to say bullying - but I think that sort of challenged me."
