Filling your wardrobe with sustainable clothes has never been easier thanks to ASOS, and it's all down to one simple update: the 'responsible' filter.
The retail giant's new feature works exactly like the filters for price, style and size, but instead of displaying jumpers under £20 or ankle strap heels, the responsible filter will let shoppers see only clothes that have been made sustainably.
In 2019 ASOS is stocking more eco-friendly pieces than ever, and "eco-friendly" clothes can mean a variety of things.

Perhaps it's a dress made from recycled textiles, or a t-shirt that's 100 per cent organic cotton. It could be a parabens-free jumper or a skirt that's been handcrafted to cut down on water usage.
Whatever it is you're chucking in your basket, you'll be doing it with the planet in mind.
The shocking truth is that producing a single t-shirt uses roughly 2,7000 litres of water, and every year more than 80 billion pieces of clothing are made across the globe.
Let's not forget that the fashion industry is hugely polluting, and an astonishing 3000,000 tonnes of clothes a year are sent to landfill.

Buying clothes made from recycled materials like plastic is an excellent (not to mention fashion-forward) way to keep your carbon footprint in check, as is upcycling - we all know an old pair of jeans make for killer denim shorts.
Opting for pieces made with organic fabrics and sustainable dyes is also a smart choice.
And don't forget your local artisan maker! They will often carefully select materials because their collections are released in much smaller batches.
So if we want to help keep those carbon emissions down, it's best to shop wisely, and remember that an eco-conscious shopping cart can go a long way. After all, there's no planet B.
