Viewers of new Channel 5 documentary Stalked: Murder In Slow Motion were overcome with emotion as the first episode centring on the murder of aspiring personal trainer Molly McLaren aired.
The emotional three-part docuseries tells the stories of three different women who were stalked and killed by their ex-partners, with the first episode beginning last night.
Joshua Stimpson, 27, was found guilty of murdering Molly, 23, in her car in a "frenzied" attack as helpless bystanders tried to intervene in June 2017. He was sentenced to 26 years behind bars in February 2018.
The documentary, narrated by soap star Kym Marsh, saw a number of Molly's closest friends discuss her heartbreaking story.

Molly and Stimpson met on Tinder in November 2016, and dated for seven months with Molly called it off two weeks before her death.
"She never really had a lot of boyfriends," best friend Amy Lee explained. "She was quite passionate about finding the right person."
Amy said that Molly wanted to connect with a partner on a "personal level".
After Molly ended things, Stimpson posted false allegations about her on social media, and the 23-year-old reported his posts to police.

Despite two warnings from the authorities, Stimpson stalked Molly before attacking her in her car as she came out of the gym at the Dockside shopping centre in Chatham, Kent, on 29th June 2017. At trial, it came to light that Stimpson had a history of stalking ex-girlfriends.
And viewers of the documentary were left in tears at Molly's tragic story.
"The Molly McLaren documentary has broke my heart so much. Cold blooded person to stab someone 75 times just because a girl doesn't want to be with you anymore," wrote one person on Twitter.

And another echoed: "Didn't even know that Molly McLaren but watching this programme and reading about it all! She didn't deserve that, No woman deserves what happened to her! That stimpson should never be released."
"Molly McLaren seemed like such a lovely girl, someone you would love to be friends with. What a waste of life," posted another.
Stalked: Murder In Slow Motion airs next Tuesday on Channel 5 at 10pm.
