Piers Morgan has revealed prison bosses banned him from being in the same room as a psychopathic killer over fears he'd be attacked.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 54, spoke to Lorraine Kelly on Wednesday to discuss his upcoming documentary Psychopath in which he meetes 25-year-old killer Paris Bennett.

Paris is behind bars in America for stabbing his four-year-old sister at the age of just 13. He's often referred to as an 'evil genius' due to the fact he has a super-high IQ level of 141.

"The FBI profilers we brought in to advise us said: 'He'll have done his research on you very thoroughly, he will try and play you, he will be manipulating you,' and I really felt that.

"I've interviewed serial killers who have killed... 20 people in some cases and I would be two feet away but he was considered too dangerous to be in the same vicinity as. He had to be behind reinforced glass," Piers recalled on ITV's Lorraine.

"They were concerned that he is so cunning and manipulative and smart that he might just use that opportunity to commit another murder, if he meets another human being on the outside.

"It was a very weird experience. Normally I feel quite comfortable and safe in those experiences but this guy... there was something about him that was really dangerous and menacing.

"He was clearly so intelligent and you just feel like he is gaming everybody," Piers continued.

Paris, from Texas, killed his sister Ella 12 years ago after stabbing her 17 times with a kitchen knife while she was asleep in her bed, admitting it was to "spite his mother."

The murderer was imprisoned for 40 years after committing the crime but is eligible for parole in 2027 and will otherwise be released in 2047.

Psychopath with Piers Morgan airs on ITV at 9pm on Thursday 27th June.
