Flight attendant shows the ‘secret’ six-bed cabin where they sleep during flight

People are conflicted after a flight attendant revealed where cabin staff sleep during an overnight flight.

If you've ever wondered where flight attendants go when they're not checking you've got your seat belt on or are showing you all the emergency exits, then here's your answer.

It turns out on some planes there's a 'secret' cabin where members of the crew can go and have a nap if on a long-haul flight.

However, the 'secret' cabin where crew catch some rest is certainly not for the faint-hearted.

The video - posted by TikTok user 'Addicted to Flying' @khlq02 - gives social media users an insight into an Airbus 350-900 aircraft after hours.

The video reveals there's actually a 'secret door at the back of the cabin' that is labelled 'crew only' and has a 'door lock combination to enter'.

The TikToker opens the door and reveals the six bunk beds located within - three of which are slightly larger and more private and three more closely squished together, but all with curtains for a bit of privacy.

In the 'secret' cabin, there's also an emergency phone and an indicator which lets staff know when the toilet is free.

Staff are not only provided with the bunk beds, but a clean blanket and bedsheet too.

Other TikTokers have flooded to the post divided over the secret cabin beds for flight attendants.

One user said: "My claustrophobia could not."

"I wouldn't mind sleeping there as a passenger better than economy seats," another argued.

And a third commented: "My brain cannot understand the mechanics of this."

"This is where the mile high club happens," while a fourth joked.

A final questioned: "As someone who's gonna be a pilot how do y'all decide who gets the big vs small beds?"

"Pilots have a separate bunk to sleep," another user responded, something the TikTok flight attendant confirmed.

The flight attendant revealed crew are allowed to sleep for 'at least four hours each' on a 15 hour flight - in another comment noting it's 'maximum five hours'.

The TikToker also explained typically the crew are 'so tired' it doesn't matter the bunk is quite claustrophobic.

They added some airlines even supply 'loose fitting clothes' to crew members for them to change into to feel more relaxed and able to go to sleep.
