For anybody having absolutely zero luck on dating apps, you're going to want to keep reading, because Tinder has unveiled its most popular singles in the UK and Ireland for 2019 - and they're on hand with helpful tips to boost your love life.
In partnership with Cosmopolitan, latest issue, they share with us this dos and don't of the dating world and how they succeeded in claiming their place as one of the top Tinder slayers of the year.

Naturally, they're all gorgeous, but what else are they doing to bag those likes?!

1) Jane

Jane, 30, is a marketing executive from Edinburgh. Her bio says: "Sometimes I like yoga. Sometimes I like wine". It's clear that you don't need to fit a particular mould to win at the Tinder game.
Reflecting on her dating mishaps, she said: "I once sent a date to the wrong bar and had another guy who turned up drunk. We actually ended up getting along really well, I just had to get on his level."
2) Ella-Morgan
Ella-Morgan, 25, is a cosmetic surgeon consultant from London - whose bio claims she is a proud trans woman and "nicest and funniest girl you'll ever meet."

"Yes, I've had my surgery!," she adds on her profile, explaining to Cosmo: "I'm proud of who I am and want a man who respects that."
Discussing what she's looking for in a man, Ella said her priorities are finding someone "tall and tanned," but owning a sausage dog could secure her for life.
And while she'd happily date a man with kids, she warns: "When their entire bio is dedicated to that child, it's like 'are they looking for a girlfriend or a babysitter?'" Take note potential suitors...
3) Liam

Liam, 23, is a mechanical engineer from Galway, Ireland.
He wins girls over with a joke on his Tinder profile, with his bio reading: "Mountains aren't just funny, they're hill areas". Geddit?
The best date Liam has ever had is a sunset cruise in San Francisco, but he's equally happy to have a "coffee and a walk" in Galway. It's all about the balance!
Liam's tips for getting likes include sharing "photos where you're out having fun and being active". He adds: "There's no pouting on my profile, I'm a terribly smiley individual."

4) Michelle
Michelle, 20, is a student from London. She's American, but her parents are Chinese, and she's lived in Singapore for six years.
Her bio features flag emojis of all the countries she's visited around the world - which she claims is "a great conversation starter".
When asked her favourite opening line, she says: "It's really hard thinking of something, so I have a lot of respect for the guys who reach out first.
"I don't usually, unless I think they're hot, in which case I usually send a GIF."
5) Mike
Mike, 27, is a painter and decorator from Ceredigion, Wales. He's kept his bio simple, with just a few bullet points about himself. They say: 'Enjoy adventures, keeping fit, love animals'.
He explains: "I think if you write too much it can ruin the conversation."
A huge turnoff for Mike is a snapchat filter on a girl's profile... "I like the natural look," he adds.
Meanwhile, he'll always swipe right for "pictures of them exploring, travelling or hanging out with animals."
6) Chanel
Chanel, 27, is a singer from London, and seeing someone's eyes in their profile is crucial.
Her bio reads: "Artist and music lover. Let's start with hello", and she is "looking for someone spiritual with kind eyes."
Discussing her ideal first date, she said: "I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie, so Thorpe Park could be fun, or maybe sitting in the park and playing board games - just something a bit different."
7) Adam
Adam, 23, is a song writer from Cheltenham. The best date he's ever had was with a girl who works at Longleat Safari Park.
"She gave me a personal tour and we got to feed the animals together, which was pretty amazing," he recalled.
Adam has three jobs, which makes dating hard, but he can't resist swiping right for a girl with pearly white teeth.
But what makes him swipe left? "I love fitness, so maybe people who aren't really into it, or anybody who comes across as closed-minded from their bio," he says.
8) JJ
JJ, 28, is a barber from Cheltenham. JJ's bio says: "I'm just looking for cool people to vibe with. Let's grab some food." Smooth.
JJ is looking for "Jennifer Aniston lookalikes...Specifically, circa 1993 to 1999". Not fussy at all, then?
"To put it another way, Rachel in the early seasons of Friends," he adds. "That's my dream woman."
Revealing how JJ make's the move to ask somebody out, JJ says: "If conversation is flowing, I'll give the person my number and ask them to call me. It's the best way to get to know someone. I'm an outgoing person, so I'm not going to date someone who is too afraid to pick up the phone. It's a good test."
9) Jack
Jack, 33, is a UI designer and animator from London. His bio says: "6 months working in London, 6 months travelling the world by motorbike".
When asked his ideal date, he says: "A cocktail making class is always a good one, because it's kind of like being in a bar, but a bit more active. Plus, you get to see how your date interacts with other people."
He says his favourite thing about being single is "being able to travel whenever I like.
"I've just completed 10,000 miles around South East Asia and plan to tackle South America next," he adds. "I've tried doing long-distance before but it's too hard."
10) Molly
Molly, 24, is an executive assistant from London. She'll swipe right for "tall, dark and handsome" men - oh, and also dog pictures, obvs.
However, she's got no time for men who wear sunglasses in their pictures, or "full on six-pack shots."
Describing her worst date, she says: "I met this guy at a bar, and he said, 'I'm going to go to the loo now and think of 10 questions for you, and you think of 10 questions for me.'
"If you've got to put that much effort into having a conversation, it's not good! I rode it out for a while and left at 9pm."
11) Ryan
Ryan, 22, is a professional wakeboarder from Berkshire. His bio says: "I'm the weirdest kid I know. Looking to meet interesting people who can make me laugh more than my friends".
His best date was with a girl he met in Bali, when they surfed together and had a romantic meal.
His tips for standing out are: "Be different. There are thousands of people on the app, so put something either in your bio or include a picture, like a funny meme, that sets you apart."
12) Mia
Mia, 21, is a personal trainer from London. Unusually, she doesn't have a bio. "I've listed a Spotify anthem at least," she says. "'Caroline' by [the rapper] Aminé."
When asked her go-to opening line, she says: "If I really think someone is my type then I'll message first.
"Why not? Shoot your shot! I try to find something specific in their pictures that I can talk about, rather than the standard 'hi'."
For her perfect first date, she says: "I'd rather do an activity, like bowling, than sit across the dinner table trying to make conversation. It's less intense and a bit of competition is always fun."
13) Dáire
Dáire is a 27 year old financial advisor and entrepreneur from Dublin.
Simply, his bio is just his name, location and Instagram handle. "You don't want to give it all away upfront," he says.
For his opening line, he says: "Usually I'll reference something from their bio or send a GIF of a pug waving. Nine times out of ten I do make the first move."
14) Peter
Peter, 26, is a barrister from Belfast. His bio says he's "looking for someone to take to spoon street". (This sounds cringe, but its actually a fro-yo place that everyone loves).
When asked how he starts a conversation, he says: "'Hello *insert name*' followed by either a princess or rose emoji. It works every time - people either think it's sweet or they laugh at me because it's pathetic. Regardless, it gets the conversation going."
He's put off by girls with lots of partying pictures, seeing as he doesn't drink or smoke, but will always swipe right for someone "funny, ambitious and hard working".
15) Elise
Elise, 19, is a retail server from County Antrim. Her bio is the Notorious B.I.G. song lyric - 'Sicker than your average'.
She says: "I've had compliments, people replying with the rest of the lyrics and others asking, 'Why are you posting about having a disease?'"
Giving her tips for standing out on Tinder, she says: "Confidence is key, I'm quick witted and find it easy to come up with conversation starters - small talk is the worst.
"Boys appreciate no make-up photos too, I've been sat with guy friends while they've been on Tinder and they've said things like, 'She's pretty but I don't know what she looks like'."
16) Eliana
Eliana is a 19 year old student from Aberdeen. Her bio describes herself as a "Spanish-American hybrid", alongside the peace emoji.
Describing the best date she'd ever had, she says: "The day before our date was planned, the guy messaged asking if I fancied going along to a stand-up comedy night that evening instead, which was random, but really fun and spontaneous.
"Flowing conversation is the most important thing on a date, the venue doesn't really matter as long as that's there."
But Eliana isn't in a rush to find a boyfriend, as she's a fan of "going on nights out without having to worry about what your significant other might be thinking."
She adds: I'm enjoying being young and free."
17) Marley
Marley, 22, is a DJ from Swansea.
When asked what his bio says, he reveals: 'It lists my job - I used to be a footballer, now I'm a DJ - and where I study."
His tips for standing out are: "Use all of the picture slots available and include a link to your Instagram. It's so easy to do, why wouldn't you?"
Recalling his best date, he says: "I like keeping it simple and going for coffee. I'm a big coffee fan. It's a good chance to actually chat, rather than, say, going to the cinema or something where you're just sat in silence the whole time."
18) Chloe H
Chloe H, 18, is a bar tender from Cardiff.
When quizzed on why he profile stands out, she says: "I don't use pictures with silly Snapchat filters but I do try to include multiple pictures of me at festivals or on holiday, so people are interested enough to flick through."
Topless mirror selfies are a big no-no for her. So take note, boys!
19) Graham
Graham, 29 works in financial services in Edinburgh. He also has a completely blank bio.
Explaining why, he says:"I think it's intriguing and leaves more to talk about.
"I do have a good variety of pictures though: there's one of me and a dog, one with friends to show I'm not a total weirdo, and one with my grandad. Maybe everyone's just been swiping for him?"
He says he'll always swipe right for "a brunette with nice eyes and a nice smile".
20) Shane
Shane, 21, is an entrepreneur from County Westmeath.
When asked what his bio says, he reveals: "Sadly, it's probably the most boring one out there - just my Instagram link. I always commend a girl if she has something funny in hers, it's tough!"
His tips for standing out are: "A good mix of different photos, I've got one of me at a festival and another with my little cousins thrown in the mix."
And his favourite thing about being single? "Time to concentrate on growing the business I share with my dad, I'm busy grafting and trying to make something of myself," he says.
21) Mia
Ambulance dispatcher Mia is 19 from Devon. She will always swipe right for "a witty bio" - hers just cheekily says the word "behave".
"I think if you're not laughing on a date then it's not worth it, a good sense of humour is so important to me," she says.
Her tips for standing out are just "be yourself, put yourself out there and use colourful filters. People react well to bright pictures."
22) Éanna
Éanna is a 27 year old clinical trial coordinator from Edinburgh. His bio reads: "'Irish'" alongside a shamrock emoji, '92' for his date of birth, and tells girls that he's a former barista, part-time pianist".
He also adds what he did at university - a master's in wildlife conservation and biology.
When asked to recall his best date, he says: "I met a girl who was in a band and we went to a bar that she gigs at. When I mentioned I play piano, she asked the manager if we could perform a song together - we ended up on stage and as the crowd seemed to like us, played for a while."
23) Chloe
Chloe R is a 21 year old scientist from Swindon. When asked what her bio says, she reveals: "'Guess my height in one go and I'll buy you a drink'. Nobody has managed yet; they always go taller (I'm 5ft)."
Her tip for standing out is: "It's always nice when you can see somebody's music interests on their profile. Pictures that show a bit of personality, not just selfies, are also a winner."
And her favourite thing about being single? "I've definitely become a lot more outgoing and confident in myself. First dates are always scary, but I've met some great people," she says.
24) Danny
Danny is a librarian and a student from Edinburgh. His bio says "great with parents," which is a great way to impress the ladies.
When asked his go-to opening line, he says: "'I used to wait a few days and then say, 'Sorry I've not messaged until now, I've been lost for words.'
"Later on, if I got busy and hadn't replied for a while, I'd hit them with an, 'Oh sorry, I've been off planning the wedding.'"
25) Ali
County Down based student, model and personal trainer Ali, 19, jokes in her bio that she's "probably taller than you".
When asked what makes her swipe right, she says: "I don't have a type as such, but I like guys who are a bit different and who have a bio that stands out."
Meanwhile, she's put off by "too many group shots". We need to be able to work out who you are, lads!
When asked if she's had any dating mishaps, she says: "I'm a really bubbly person, but there have definitely been times where the conversation hasn't flowed at all - and yet I still seem to end up staying for hours, out of politeness."
26) James
Sports broadcaster James, 28, is from Worcester, and boasts in his bio that he is "commonly mistaken for Prince Harry.
His tips for standing out are: "Have a big smile and use pictures that show what you're into, be it music, sports or travelling. Anything to convey who you are as a person rather than a series of selfies."
He adds that one of his favourite things about being single is "having independence."
"I'm lucky I get to travel a lot with my job and Tinder has been a good way for getting tips from locals," he explains.
27) Taylor
PhD student Taylor, 28, is from Swansea, and he suggests making sure your bio stands out so people don't think you're a "snooze fest".
So what's his bio, then? "It's a bullet point list of my pros and cons," he says. "'I like eating, I like dogs (not that fussed on humans), I don't send nudes, I can't handle my drink and I've failed my driving test four times. If you like bad guys, you'll probably like me... because I'm bad at most things.'"
Recalling his dating mishaps, he says: "One girl turned up freshly spray tanned and looking like a human-sized carrot, then the place we'd said we'd go to for lunch was fully booked, so we ended up in Nando's. Later, Vodka Revolutions, where she started showing me her kickboxing skills."
28) Paris
Model Paris, 21, is from London. When asked what her bio says, she reveals: 'Artist?' - the question mark is because I'm not sure if I can call myself that, but I dance, paint and sculpt, followed by 'I once sent back a burrata'.
"The last bit is a good conversation starter."
And her best opening line? "If it's a guy I'll wait for them to talk to me first as it's more chivalrous," she adds. "With other women, if I've swiped them and it's an instant match I'll message first, if not, I'll wait a day and see if they reach out before going for it."
29) James
James, 25, is a marketing coordinator and business owner from Leicester.
Practically, his bio clarifies that the little boy in his picture is his nephew, not his son. It also reads: "I enjoy reading, learning, cycling, photography, going to the gym, spending time with family and friends. Not one of the lads."
James will always swipe right for someone with similar interests - particularly if someone is active.
He's put off by "dog filters and when their bio is just an emoji."
30) Marcus
Leeds student Marcus, 20, doesn't just use his six pack to get the girls. He also uses his bio, which bluntly reads: "6'3. Plays rugby. What else do you want?"
He adds: "I don't look at bios unless we match, in which case I'll read it to work out what I'm going to say next. Sometimes I just go with 'Will you be my wife?'"
Marcus knows how to play the Tinder game. His tips if you match him? "Don't be so keen that you reply after ten seconds of matching." Noted.
Tinder also offered some tips of their own for excelling on their platform.
Wearing bright colours in your pictures is also essential if you want to stand out. According to the experts, 72 per cent of users wear a neutral colour in their primary photograph so beat the crowd and go bright and bold.
Quantity is key! Why have quality over quantity when you can have both? Impress your matches with your confidence and include numerous photographs. 81 per cent of users include at least four photographs in their profiles.
And lastly, don't forget to smile. According to the dating company, those who smile in their pictures are per centt more likely to get swiped right than those forcing a pout. Facing forward can also be advantageous, with those looking directly at the camera having a 20 per cent higher chance of getting a match.
