Woman Is Left ‘Looking Like Mr Potato Head’ After Buying Clip-on Veneers For £40

Think twice before you buy quick-fix beauty buys off the internet, ladies.

Many of us would do pretty much anything for the perfect Hollywood smile, but today we've learnt a very valuable lesson: never buy £40 veneers off the internet.

This lesson was brought to us courtesy of 18-year-old Ferne Rawson, who decided to splash out on the teeth coverings from thebrightsmiles.com, and ended up looking like Mr Potato Head - the famous plastic toy in Pixar's Toy Story.

Jokes.

Luckily seeing the funny side, Ferne, from Auchinleck near Cumnock in East Ayrshire, posted to pictures to Twitter so we could all have a good laugh, alongside the caption: "Ferne strikes again  ordered clip in veneers cause all the pics looked good and got all excited and they just arrived and I look like MR POTATO HEAD.

"Cannot breathe, actual best 40 quid I've ever spent."

Ferne posted the tweet alongside a pic of what she thought she was going to get - a woman's teeth looking more refined and whitened from a review on the website - as well as a review from said customer who rated the product five stars.

Funnily enough, the product (which is currently unavailable) has nothing but five-star glowing reviews on its website, so we'll let you decide how authentic you think it really is.

Unfortunately for the teen, her teeth came out bright white and almost too big for her mouth.

The tweet has since been liked 2.2k times and racked up 175 retweets, with followers joking she looks like anyone from Jim Carrey's character in The Mask and Donkey from Shrek to Ross from Friends when he suffers from that hilarious teeth whitening fail.

"Paint your face green and you have a perfect Mask cosplay" said one follower, while another commented: "£40 for methadone micks teeth fresh out his mouth."

It didn't stop Ferne from sending in a complaint about the product though, saying: "Are you having a laugh or what, I look like Mr Potato Head. I'm phoning the polis."

This isn't the first time a mission for the perfect teeth has gone hilariously wrong - last year Natalie Fletcher had Facebook in stitches after posting a video off her trying to remove her £5 eBay veneers.

Unfortunately for her but luckily for us, she caught the moment that she tried to prise the "Billy Bob" teeth out before resorting to slapping herself in the mouth.

Think next time before you trust the world wide web, ladies.
