Meghan Markle debuted her baby bump for the first time yesterday as she began her first royal tour with Prince Harry.

The Duke and Duchess were greeted by huge crowds of well-wishers in Sydney, Australia, just hours after announcing they are expecting their first child together.

Meghan wore a white shift dress by Australian designer Karen Gee, which allowed us to see a glimpse of her little bump.

The baby, who will be seventh in line to the throne, is due in late April next year.

The first full day of the couple's tour finished with a reception at the grand Admiralty House overlooking the city's opera house where Meghan said she and her husband are 'excited' about becoming parents.

Speaking to mathematician and Australian TV personality Eddie Woo, Meghan said: "We're ready! We're excited to join the club".

Prince Harry also told guests: "Thank you for the incredibly warm welcome and the chance to meet so many Aussies from all walks of life.

"And we also genuinely couldn't think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby, be it a boy or a girl."

Meghan also paid tribute to Princess Diana during the trip as she wore a pair of diamond butterfly earrings and a bracelet that were once worn by the Princess.

Diana wore the delicate jewel encrusted studs on her royal tour of Canada in May 1986, and sported the chunky gold bracelet on an outing in London in 1990.

Despite only announcing the pregnancy yesterday, bookies have already released the odds for the predicted baby names.

It seems like bookies are convinced the new baba will be a girl as Victoria leads the way with odds of 8/1.

According to Ladbrokes, Albert, Arthur and Philip follow close behind if Meghan gives birth to a little boy, while Elizabeth is fancied at 16/1 and of course, Diana is up there also at 16/1.

Funnily enough, at 100/1 and virtually at the bottom of the list is Samantha - because no one is really expecting them to name the baby after Meghan's troublesome sister, who was recently in the UK hoping to reconcile with her royal sis.

Just pinching Samantha to the post at least likely names for a royal baby is Barry, in at 150/1, but lets face it, we'd probably stick a few quid on it just for the LOLs.

"Given this child will be in line to the throne, it's probably a safe assumption that the couple will opt for a regal name that has been used in the royal family over the generations," a Ladbrokes spokesperson told LADbible.
