It has emerged that the Queen died before her grandson, Prince Harry, was able to get a plane to Scotland to see her one last time.
The late monarch’s death certificate was released yesterday (29 September), which confirmed her time of death on 8 September at 3.10pm.
A spokesperson for The Duke of Sussex at the time confirmed he would travel to Scotland to be with his grandmother at 1.50pm.

He boarded the flight G-LEAX at London Luton Airport which departed for Aberdeen at 5.35pm the same day, 20 minutes after the flight was due to leave.
This means that by the time the Prince landed at 6.46pm, his beloved grandmother was already gone.
News of Queen Elizabeth II’s death was announced to the world at 6.30pm, which was followed by a statement released by Buckingham Palace confirming Her Majesty’s death, while also acknowledging King Charles III ascending to the throne upon his mother’s death.

Prince Harry was on the plane to Aberdeen when he received a phone call from his father about the Queen’s death.
Upon his arrival, Prince Harry was pictured wearing a black suit and tie in the back of a car being driven to Balmoral, shortly before 8pm.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in London when they received news of the Queen’s poor health.
The Duke of Sussex was scheduled to present the WellChild charity awards on Thursday (8 September) evening. Both Harry and Meghan returned to the UK for charity engagements and appearances.

The Duchess of Sussex remained at Frogmore Cottage after it was initially reported she would travel with her husband to Balmoral.
Anne, Princess Royal, signed the Queen’s death certificate and was at her mother’s side when she died at Balmoral, already being in Scotland prior to the Queen’s death.
The Queen’s eldest child, Charles, was already in Scotland with his wife, Camila. The couple were able to travel to Balmoral via helicopter from Dumfries House in Ayrshire. They arrived at 10.30am.
The confirmed timings from the day the Queen died shows Prince William, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex did not arrive in time to say goodbye.

Kate Middleton stayed in Windsor with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis while her husband landed at Aberdeen airport at around 4pm.
Prince William, the Duke of York and the Earl of Wessex arrived at Balmoral at around 5pm in a fleet of cars.
