Prince Harry shares text message argument between Kate and 'sobbing' Meghan

Prince Harry has opened up about the fiery exchange between Kate and Meghan

Prince Harry has revealed what happened during the infamous bust-up between his wife, Meghan Markle, and Kate Middleton.

In his new book, 'Spare', the Duke of Sussex opens up about the organisation of their wedding day back in 2018.

Harry claims that his wife-to-be and sister-in-law fell out over designs for the bridesmaid dresses.

With Kate and William's daughter Charlotte set to be part of their big day, the 38-year-old claims that there was a falling out over the fit of her dress.

The prince recalls Kate contacting Meghan just four days before the wedding to say that the 'French Couture' dresses needed remaking.

He writes that Kate became frustrated because Meghan didn't get back to her immediately.

"Meg didn't reply to Kate straight away," says Harry. "Yes, she had endless wedding-related texts, but mostly she was dealing with the chaos surrounding her father. So the next morning she texted Kate that our tailor was standing by."

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are said to have had a big falling out.

"This wasn't sufficient," he adds.

Harry says that Kate later complained: "Charlotte's dress is too big, too long, too baggy. She cried when she tried it on a[t] home."

To which Meghan replied: "Right, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8am. Here. At KP. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?"

However, Kate reportedly disagreed, saying: "No, all the dresses need to be remade."

The two couples haven't seen eye to eye of late.

Harry says: "Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!"

To which Meghan snapped back: "Yes, Kate, I know... "

Harry recalls Meghan telling Kate: "I'm not sure what else to say. If the dress doesn't fit then please take Charlotte to see Ajay. He's been waiting all day," to which Kate replies: "Fine."

After returning home to the aftermath of the disagreement, Harry says he found Meghan in tears 'sobbing on the floor'.

The following day, Kate apparently came round with a bouquet of flowers and a card to apologise for the misunderstanding.

The pair are said to have had a fiery text exchange.

This comes from Harry's new book, which is will be available to buy from today (10 January).

The eerie, yet intriguing, synopsis of the book reads: "It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother's coffin as the world watched in sorrow - and horror.

"As Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid to rest, billions wondered what the princes must be thinking and feeling - and how their lives would play out from that point on.

"For Harry, this is that story at last."
