Trolls Are Already Blaming Harry And Meghan For Prince Philip's Death

Trolls Are Already Blaming Harry And Meghan For Prince Philip's Death

So this is entirely ridiculous and unnecessary.

The world is still reeling from the news that the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, has died aged 99.

It has been well-documented that the Prince has not been in good health. Philip was hospitalised back in February after feeling unwell, and was treated for a pre-existing heart condition as well as an infection.

However, despite numerous and detailed reports about the Duke of Edinburgh's poor health, internet trolls have been quick to cruelly blame Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for Philip's passing.

Twitter trolls were quick to pour bile on heavily pregnant Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, blaming their interview with Oprah Winfrey (which took place well over a month ago) for causing the elderly royal's death.

"They begged Meghan and Harry to postpone the interview until at least Prince Phillip is done with the surgery and out from the Hospital, they declined, went ahead and now have solely indicted themselves to being indirectly held accountable for his death," one person wrote.

"Bet Meghan and Harry are happy," wrote a second.

"Should Harry and Meghan apologise for the Duke of Edinburgh's death?" asked a third, despite the pair being hundreds of miles away in the US and having nothing to do with it.

"It is such a sad reality that Prince Philip spent his last days on Earth with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tarnishing his entire family and legacy," a fourth wrote - even though neither Harry nor Meghan spoke about Prince Philip - with reports showing the Prince was on good terms with his grandmother and grandfather.

Harry and Meghan are yet to publicly comment on Prince Philip's death - however, it should be remembered that grief is a very private and personal experience, and the Sussex's are not obliged to and should not have to write a statement on this matter purely for our benefit.

The royal family has temporarily removed its website landing page and replaced it was a touching tribute to the late Prince Philip, The Duke Of Edinburgh.

The website confirmed that "further announcements will made in due course," and added that "the royal family join with people around the world in mourning his loss."

At the bottom of the page, a disclaimer then read: "The official website of the royal family is temporarily unavailable while appropriate changes are made."
