The poshest hotel for cats has just opened in the Essex countryside for those who want goto give their feline friend a whole lot of pampering.

Offering human sized rooms, spa treatments, a chauffeur and even caviar, guests can now indulge their pets in a #blessed weekend of indulgence.

Lawlor Cat Hotel is a five-star cattery offering top end treatments to all of its furry visitors and was up by Jane Lawlor, 48.

The hotel consists of two distinct houses, the Coach House and the Lodge, which between them boast a whopping 23 suites, all costing between £20-£25 a day with a minimum three-day stay.

Each room houses a sofa, a bunk bed, litter tray and some cat-sized flowers for pampered moggies to enjoy.

And if guests want to give their four-legged friends an extra treat, the hotel offers Michelin standard dishes including Dublin Bay king prawns, a bacon wrapped monkfish, and even some beluga caviar which costs around £3.50 a gram or £160 for 50g.

Grooming facilities are also available to keep your pet looking ravishing whilst you're away. From £65 for a Brazilian hygiene clip to £85 for a lion cut - or just a simple de matting session, there's something to suit each cat.

And for owners who just can't get enough, CCTV has been installed in each room so for just an extra £5 a day you can watch your kitten play whilst you're on holiday.

Jane, the hotel's owner, described the hotel's recent success, putting it down to the care she devotes to each individual cat.

"We strive to be a home from home for these wonderful pets - a 'home comforts' place," she said. "We are not a cattery - we are a proper full-on hotel."

If you're paw-sitive that your cat deserves more than a packet of Whiskers, then this is the place for you.
