Touching Clip Shows Moment Six Stolen Puppies Are Reunited With Their Owner
Owner, Aimee, 20, shared the film on Facebook of the six five-week-old Spring Spaniels huddled in a box, overjoyed to be back home on the family farm in Dawlish, Devon.
The pups were taken from shop assistant, Aimee on Monday night when the young woman was asleep.
When she was confronted with the news in the morning the young woman immediately took to Facebook to launch an appeal for their return. Offering a £3,000 bounty, she was thankfully reunited with her dogs six days later.
Aimee said she received a phone call yesterday evening from someone declaring they had the dogs.
After confirmation that these were definitely hers, they agreed to meet her dad at a service station in Somerset.
The puppies were in a terrible state and whilst Aimee was over the moon to have them back, she admitted it took a huge amount of TLC to get them back to their normal selves.
"When we got them back they stank; I have never smelled anything like it. They also hadn't had any water in a while so they were dehydrated," she said.
"The first thing I did was feed them, they wolfed down their food they were so hungry."
"They were soaking wet with cold water when we received them at handover, they have fleas, they were dehydrated and extremely hungry," she lamented.
Sadly though, the moving reunion was made bittersweet by the fact that her four month old pup is still missing - causing the young woman a lot of angst.
Nonetheless, Aimee is still hopeful to get the dog back and has a lot of faith in the power of Facebook.
In a post about the return of the baby pups she enthused "Wow... the power of Facebook is truly AMAZING!"
"The hunt for 'x' will continue. I will never stop looking for her," she stated.
If you hear anything about the last missing pup, then contact Aimee Foster on Facebook. Here's hoping he will make a safe return.
