Gypsy Rose Blanchard has shared her first photo after being released from prison early.
It comes after the now 32-year-old woman was released from Missouri's Chillicothe Correctional Center after serving time behind bars for her role in the murder of her own mother yesterday (28 December).
She is now walking free after being granted parole in September of this year, after serving seven years of a ten-year-long sentence.
It was the horrific tale of torture, alleged abduction and first-degree murder that shook the world back in 2015, when a then 24-year-old Gypsy was sent down for her part in the brutal stabbing of her 48-year-old mum, Dee Dee Blanchard.

She had conspired with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, who she met online after suffering for years at the hands of her mother, who went on to force her into getting unnecessary medical procedures and convinced everyone around them that she was severely sick.
However, Gypsy Rose did previously admit to regretting her mother’s death ahead of her release telling People: "I was desperate to get out of that situation."
She revealed: "If I had another chance to redo everything, I don't know if I would go back to when I was a child and tell my aunts and uncles that I'm not sick and mommy makes me sick or, if I would travel back to just the point of that conversation with Nick and tell him, 'You know what, I'm going to go tell the police everything.' I kind of struggle with that."

Now, after being released from prison early, Gypsy has shared a selfie to her followers on Instagram with the caption: "First selfie of freedom!"
At the time of writing, the photo has clocked up over 100k likes alongside thousands comments from people eager to share their support.
One Instagram user penned: "CONGRATULATIONS GIRL! We love you! Enjoy this new chapter of your life!"
A second wrote: "2024 is your year! And we’re all rooting for you!"
"So proud of you and can’t wait to see your journey," chimed in a third, while a fourth advised: "Congratulations, take the time you need to relax and rejuvenate."

Another added: "Hope you get to live the life you much deserve queen!"
"YOU LOOK GORGEOUS GIRL!" echoed a final Instagram user. "I hope you take the necessary time to adjust. Treat yourself with kindness and know that tons of people wish you well in this new chapter."
Gypsy is now a self-proclaimed public figure, public speaker and author who is working towards advocating awareness about Munchausen Syndrome by proxy, according to her Instagram bio.
