A little girl suffering from pneumonia in hospital received a heart-warming message from Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the guise of Maui when he found out she was a Moana fan.
The actor, producer and semi-retired professional wrestler tweeted the message after dad, Jason Kneen, said how much his poorly daughter Rosie loved the film Moana, in which The Rock voices the character Maui.

In the photo, which was part of a long thread, she has a breathing tube and is watching the film.
Jason originally posted a photograph of his daughter smiling with the caption: "My child has Down's Syndrome, what should I expect? This. 100% this."
He posted a thread of photos with more information about how he initially found having a daughter with Down's Syndrome challenging.
He also talked about how she suffered from bronchitis and then: "Just before Christmas 2017 she was taken into hospital again with the same, but that also turned into Pneumonia- @binkyboobar was with her for the first couple of days but we had a newborn baby and it wasn't practical to have them all in hospital.

"So, I took over, as I can work from anywhere, and stayed with Rosie over Christmas and New Year - we all made the best of it with FaceTime and hospital visits from family.
"Rosie I and became thick as thieves over that time and watched Moana together many times and EVERY SINGLE DAY - thanks @TheRock for teaching me all the songs :) - Rosie was so brave, and so strong.
"This is her, with assisted oxygen, watching Moana."

Jason told the BBC the response from The Rock and the public was "crazy" and "really cool" and they now have more than 89k likes and 8.6k retweets (at the time of writing).
He has received messages of thanks from others who are expecting a baby with Down's Syndrome.
"We were told by doctors and nurses on the day of her birth... how her life would go," he said.
"It was like her whole life had been mapped out in front of you. It was distressing, shocking and upsetting.

"[But] you can't predict how your child's life is going to be. You can't tell anyone what's going to happen.
"We just got on with it. She's amazing.
"We've been through some difficulties like anybody, but she makes up for it every day when she smiles at you like that and wants to watch Moana all the time."
