Two Australian brothers, Jake, 30, and Callum Robinson, 33, were with an American friend named Jack Carter Rhoad, 30, when they were tragically murdered in a suspected carjacking in Mexico.

The trio were near the town of Ensenada on a surfing trip when they disappeared late last month (27 April).

All three young men were identified by family after they were found in a well after being shot in the head because thieves wanted their vehicle for spare parts, authorities believe.

Australian ambassador to Mexico, Rachel Moseley, later took to X to announce that Australian diplomats and federal police were 'giving all possible support' to the Robinson family following the devastating event.

Since then, Callum's girlfriend, Emily Horwath, has taken to Instagram to share several images of them as a couple along with a saved voice message he left her.

In the message, Callum can be heard saying: "Happy Tuesday! Good morning.

"It’s 11:11 and I’m just thinking about you. Just wanted to drop you a quick message and say hello, baby.

"Hope you’re having a phenomenal start to your day. I’m sensing a big grin on your face for some reason today. I hope you’re full of positivity and smiles."

He finished up the message adding: "Cheers, baby. Miss ya."

Emily captioned the Instagram Story: "Will be playing this on repeat."

Carrying on her tributes to her late boyfriend, she added: "That’s exactly who you were. Positivity and smiles."

Another Instagram tribute in Emily's saved Instagram Story highlight named 'Callum' read: "This man changed my life in ways that I can't even put into words.

"I don't yet understand a world without him and his energy in it. I feel so grateful to have loved him.

"Tell your people you love them. Live life to the fullest every day. Be kind to others. Laugh uncontrollably. Don't let the small stuff bother you. Lead with positivity. And live like Cal."

Emily previously said Callum was 'one of one', continuing: "My heart is shattered into a million pieces.

"I don’t have the words right now. I will love you forever."

A GoFundMe has since been set up in the wake of the heartbreaking loss of the three men.
