With the launch of Love Island 2019 only a few days away, contestant Amy Hart has opened up about dealing with insecurities about her appearance which prompted her to get cosmetic surgery.
The 26-year-old air hostess/cabin crew manager from Worthing in Sussex, revealed that she got breast implants and teeth veneers because she felt "self-conscious" about her body.
As she was unable to afford the procedures on her own, Amy took a loan from her grandparents to pay for the surgeries that cost a total of around £20,000.
Speaking to The Mirror, she revealed: "I'd always wanted my boobs done. I grew up in the era of Katie Price. I hated how I looked in clothes.
"I've got 20 veneers, but they need redoing. I had gappy teeth as a child because I had braces."
Amy quit her job as an air hostess to enter the Love Island villa and posted a heartfelt goodbye post to all of her colleagues before going in, alongside a picture of her in her uniform.
She wrote: "Sometimes goodbye, though it hurts, in your heart is the only way to make way for destiny.....Doors to manual and cross check for the very. Last. Time.
"Yes after 8 years of causing havoc, hosting parties at 35,000 feet, channelling my inner Elton, writing hits such as 'dead on the jumpseat' and 'five years' gold', rolling out the Amz experience worldwide and being the queen of the party bag, I'm reluctantly hanging up my wings to start a new adventure [sic]."
The Love Island cast was officially announced earlier this week and it includes five girls and seven guys in total including a scientist, pharmacist, chef and a couple of semi-famous faces.
