Kendall Jenner has faced widespread criticism for flouting coronavirus regulations and throwing a Halloween bash ahead of her birthday.

The model, who turns 25 on the 3rd November, held a fancy dress party at Harriet's Rooftop in West Hollywood on October 31st.

The party saw a number of A-List celebs, including rapper The Weeknd and Jaden Smith, turn out for the event, which disregarded social distancing rules and masks.

Jenner faced criticism for asking people to avoid posting photos of the event to social media, with some fans thinking this is so she can avoid any criticism for not sticking to lockdown rules.

"Not Kendall Jenner hosting a Halloween party in the middle of the pandemic and making a 'no social media' rule so people wouldn't know," one observer wrote on Twitter, with a photo of a card which was reportedly at the venue.

"No but Kendall Jenner really threw a big ass party with all those celebrities without masks in the middle of a pandemic with a 'no social media' rule so people wouldn't find out about it..." added another.

According to gossip publication E! Online, all guests and employees were subjected to rapid nose-swab testing before the party, and could only attend if they showed a negative result.

However, others felt this was not reason enough to let Jenner off the hook.

"Rapid tests shouldn't be used to break CDC rules and practice your 'right to party'," a Twitter user argued. "I don't know why they think that they're immune to these guidelines? And WASTING precious resources when there are limits on how many people can be tested daily due to limited supply!"

A second said: "On the 30th of October the US recorded 90,000 cases of Covid 19 and the highest paid model with 141 million Instagram Followers has thrown a halloween/birthday party.... great role model Kendall Jenner."

While a third criticised the star for blowing the candles on her cake out while a waiter tried to crane his neck out the way.

"Ok Kendall blowing out candles as a masked waiter holds her cake and tries to move out of the way was actually the scariest thing I saw on Halloween."

While Jenner herself dressed up as Pamela Anderson's iconic Barb Wire for her party, others were left disgusted after friend Jaden Smith appeared to dress up as a Covid patient for the big night, wearing an oxygen mask.

There were over 84,000 positive cases of Coronavirus confirmed in the US on Halloween.

Jenner's party comes less than a week after her older sister Kim Kardashian faced universal backlash for posting about her "humble" 40th birthday party, which she held on a private island so she could eschew social distancing guidelines.
