Kanye West announced he was stepping away from politics on Tuesday, claiming he'd been 'used to spread messages he didn't believe in'.
In a series of Twitter posts, 'Ye' said he was distancing himself from politics after months of supporting US president Donald Trump and constantly sporting a 'MAGA' hat.
The music artist shared: "I support creating jobs and opportunities for people who need them the most, I support prison reform, I support common-sense gun laws that will make our world safer.
"I support those who risk their lives to serve and protect us and I support holding people who misuse their power accountable.

"I believe in love and compassion for people seeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war.
"I would like to thank my family, loved ones, and community for supporting my ACTUAL beliefs and my vision for a better world.
Kanye went on to deny claims he had designed a controversial line of 'Blexit' t-shirts, which 'encourage' black Americans to quit the Democratic Party.

Turning Point USA's communications director Candace Owens claimed that her 'dear friend and fellow superhero' Yeezy was behind the designs.
"I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn't want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it," the rapper explained.
"My eyes are now wide open and now realize I've been used to spread messages I don't believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!"
This comes after Kanye's mother-in-law Kris Jenner said she'd rather the dad-of-three kept some of his political opinions to himself during a recent TV appearance.

Speaking on Ellen about Kanye's controversial White House sit-down with Trump, the Kardashian matriarch said: "It was very spontaneous.
"The stuff that they were talking about, when they got to the airplane, I was like, 'Oh my gosh, that is so Kanye'.
"He was sharing thoughts and things of himself. But I would rather he share some of that stuff privately ... he definitely has his own thoughts and opinions, and he gets very excited about that."

Kris concluded: "You can't control what somebody else is doing.
"He has a big voice and he has a lot to say."
