This Country star Daisy May Cooper has revealed the name of her newborn son - and it includes a touching tribute to her late co-star, Michael Sleggs.

The actress, comedian and writer, 34, welcomed a son with husband Will Weston last Wednesday (2nd September), joining two-year-old daughter, Pip, as the newest addition to their family.

And now she has finally revealed the name of her newborn, after fans rushed to quiz her while sending their congratulations.

"Lots of you have been asking what the bubbas name is. We have named him Jack Michael weston," she wrote on Insta', alongside a sweet picture of the little one asleep in his carrier.

"The middle name Michael after our dear friend Michael Sleggs who we lost last year. May the spirit of sluggs live on!"

Sluggs - full name Michael Slugette - is the character that the late actor played in the BBC comedy show.

The role as Kerry and Kurtan's friend was Michael's first acting gig before he passed away.

Michael tragically passed away aged just 33 last July following heart complications.

Daisy announced her pregnancy back in March, sharing an ultrasound picture on her Instagram feed.

When she gave birth last week, Daisy wrote: "The bubba has landed and he's absolutely perfect."

However - known for her unflinching honesty - it will come as no surprise that she didn't shy away from discussing how "traumatic" the birth was, either.

Thanking the delivery suite at Gloucester Hospital for looking after her, adding: "Its been quite a traumatic few days and they have gone above and beyond."

Addressing a specific midwife - Debbie Taylor - in a following post, she added: "Yesterday [Debbie] helped me from being consumed by my own farts when I was in agony with trapped wind.

"Feel so blessed to know this superhero and all the other incredible midwives who had looked after me and made me laugh through all the discomfort @gloucester_birthunit @deliverysuitegrh."

We love Daisy for her real talk. And this tribute to Sluggs is so perfect.
