Everything seems to be going well - the messages have been flowing, the dates have seemed successful, and then all of a sudden, it's radio silence. Is there anything worse than being ghosted?
Unfortunately, some people think there is.
That's right, there's a whole new dating ordeal you have to look out for - as if the whole landscape wasn't tricky enough already.

Where getting 'ghosted' means your love interest seemingly drops off the face of the Earth with no explanation, never to be seen or heard from again, getting zombied is something even more frustrating.
TikToker and singer-songwriter Mariel Darling warned people about the practice after being subject to it herself, and as should always be the case with zombies, it's something you need to protect yourself from at all costs.
It's not that your love interest suddenly wants to chow down on your flesh and have you join them in the underworld - at least, it shouldn't be.
Instead, Darling explained: "It’s like ghosting, but he comes back from the dead after a couple months and hits you up."

Basically, the radio silence that might have led you to believe you'd been ghosted at first ends as they come crawling back, right from the grave, in the hopes that you'll be willing to take them back.
Needless to say, if they're pulling moves like that then they're probably someone you could live without.
"Girl, you’re being ghosted? I'm being out here being zombied," Darling said.
Considering it's basically both terrible dating trends rolled into one, it's definitely worse than just being ghosted.

Zombie victims responded to Darling's post to share their dismay over the trend, with one writing: "They also all zombie you when you are perfectly happy like « bro you don’t have any chance what are you doing »."
Another commented: "Tell me why this happened to me three times in the last three weeks," while a third wrote: "Not me seeing this after i got a text from the guy that ghosted [me] exactly a year ago today."
Darling's post prompted one viewer to describe dating in New York City as a 'zombie apocalypse', to which Darling added: "Mixed with the 'Thriller' music video because these boys be tap dancing around commitment."
With the volatile landscape that awaits all of those looking to find love, it's no wonder people are scared of putting themselves out there.
