Psychopath explains the differences between male and female psychopaths

Here are the key differences between male and female psychopaths, according to one.

Now, we've discussed the warning signs to look out for when dating a psychopath, the signs that you yourself are a psychopath and the ways in which sex is different for psychopaths, but what are the major points of contrast when it comes to male and female psychopaths?

Given that is generally believed that 1 in 22 people are psychopaths, according to recent studies - I'm sure we're all very intrigued to peel back the mask on psychopathy and find out more about it.

Tyla sat down with clinically-diagnosed psychopath, Lewis Raymond Taylor, who is now at the centre of a brand-new chilling Netflix documentary chronicling his life.

The docu-film goes into detail of Lewis' extremely tumultuous childhood which was tainted by mental illness, sexual abuse, and profound trauma.

By his early 20s, Lewis already received multiple prison sentences for grave offences like Grievous Bodily Harm, but later decided to turn his life around and set up a $25 million (around £20 million) life coaching business and global community spanning 85 countries.

The 32-year-old CEO has since revealed the key major differences between male and female psychopaths.

While Lewis told Tyla he doesn't have 'personal experience' of the key differences himself, he is able to 'use a form of intellect to piece together information' that he's been privy to.

He begins: "I would probably suggest that women are typically less violent, that is statistically true.

"Not to say they can't be, but I would say that's less of a trait that they would display whereas [for] men, almost certainly, it's their go-to emotion."

Lewis explains: "For some strange reason, within this genetic makeup, anger and aggression are the only emotions that psychopaths have because it is an outlet."

He adds: "Psychopaths want to feel - they want to have a human experience."

The business mogul also claims that psychopathic women are 'more underground' as well.

"I think women are probably better at lying than men," Lewis continued. "They're more deceiving because you're less likely to expect it."

"When you think of a psychopath, you think of a man," he added.

Another key difference comes down to manipulation.

Lewis asserts that women who are psychopathic or women with anti-social personality disorders are 'more manipulative' than their male counterparts.

"I think they are very good at manipulating to get what they want," he went on. "They can be very good at getting what they want and using it [manipulation] to their advantage to do that."

Lewis did, however, point out that such viewpoints are not necessarily empirical truth and just based off of his own personal experiences, emphasising they are just 'based on what [he] would assume'.

Now, while all this is very interesting, it's important to note that Lewis is making a generalisation about psychopaths and, of course, every single case is different.

It should be noted that there are psychopaths and people who have psychopathic tendencies who choose not to act in such ways.
