Agreeing on a movie to watch with your partner is hard enough at the best of times - so spare a thought for Hannah Orenstein, who has had to put up with her boyfriend's 'film tapas' concept.
Hannah, from New York City, took to Twitter this week to reveal that her boyfriend, Saul Hamadani, 27, insists on watching movie trailers back to back rather than an entire film.
In fact, he loves this method so much he's even coined his own phrase for his favourite pastime: 'film tapas'.
My boyfriend loves to watch a string of movie trailers instead of an actual movie. He calls it "film tapas." Film! Tapas!

In a now viral tweet, 26-year-old author and editor Hannah wrote: "My boyfriend loves to watch a string of movie trailers instead of an actual movie. He calls it "film tapas." Film! Tapas!"
Social media users couldn't get enough of the term, and the tweet now has over 111,000 likes (at the time of writing), with many coming forward to confess that this is how they love to watch films, too.
"Oh my god me too and everyone in my family keeps saying no one does that but now I can show them this," exclaimed one, and another responded: "I do this too! They give you most of the film in the trailer anyway!"
Your boyfriend may be on to something here! He's a visionary, with branding skills to match!

Your boyfriend is a genius. Most films are one hour too long

But not everyone was totally sold on the idea. "This is an epidemic and has to stop," declared one.
This must be illegal

Hannah says her boyfriend first introduced her to the idea when they couldn't decide on which film to watch together.
"A few nights ago, we couldn't pick a movie to watch, and so he started to play trailers back to back. I didn't get the appeal, and so he explained that trailers are like getting tastes of different movies, like film tapas. He came up with the term on the spot," she told Pretty52.
"He watches film tapas fairly often, but this was the first time he's picked a bunch of trailers for us to watch together."
And why does Saul love film tapas so much? "He says trailers are basically the entire movie condensed into three minutes, minus the ending," explained Hannah. "If he really likes the trailer, he'll watch the full movie. If he sort of likes the trailer, he'll just look up the ending online. Either way, he saves a lot of time." Fair play.
If you want to watch try film tapas, Saul uses Youtube. "He types in "movie trailers" into the search. If he's looking for a specific genre, he'll type in "funny movie trailers" or "action movie trailers." He'll choose trailer after trailer, or he'll choose a 30-minute compilation of many trailers," adds Hannah.
Despite her boyfriend loving film tapas, Hannah would much rather watch a regular movie or TV show from start to finish - although Saul does watch these too.
"To be honest, I'd rather watch a regular movie or a TV show, but some of them are very good," she confessed, adding that film tapas makes her boyfriend "happy".
If it works, it works!
