Packing for your summer holiday soon but worried about space in your luggage? Well this woman's travel hack is about to blow your mind.

A savvy Twitter user, who goes by @sashals_, revealed that she packs a multi-plug extension lead when travelling abroad, and swears by the electronic accessory for saving on space and money.

The Nottingham native wrote online: "Am I the only person who takes an extension lead on holidays instead of taking a dozen plug adaptors?"

With passengers flying with multiple electronic devices, the hack is a simple but an effective one to save on space when travelling to a country that uses a different plug type.

The trick also helps avoid fights over socket space with friends and family when you really should be relaxing on a beach.

Blown away by the simple hack, Sasha's followers commented in their droves about bringing the tip to their attention.

One follower penned: "Brilliant, never thought of it!"

"Genius!!!!! I'll be doing that from now on," another shared. "Why haven't I thought of this?"

A fellow Twitter wrote under the tweet: "It's so obvious, I've failed at life".

While a fourth thanked her for sharing, and said: "Why have we never thought of this! Get one packed in that suitcase for next week."

"Why is this the most clever thing I've seen all day [sic]," another concluded.

Backing up her hack, other followers explained how they too pack an extension lead going on holidays, with some doing it since the 90s.

"Always do this," a follower explained. "We take one for us and one for the kids - saves many arguments lol."

Another fan had some wise words: "Yes.. get one with built in USB chargers and will accept foreign plugs too! Don't forget your kettle and tea bags too!"

"Done this since the 90s, you only need one adaptor that way.. Obviously, everyone else does this?!" another lamented.

We'll definitely be trying this out on our next holiday.
