It happens all too frequently. You've just nodded off into dream land, ready to get your full eight hours and alas, you're awoken from your slumber shivering, thanks to your partner rolling over and stealing the duvet.

It literally feels like a terrible nightmare.

Which is why a new rolling bed cover that cannot be pulled off by either party, developed by a sleep technology company, could be just the tonic.

Company Simba, claims to have solved the age-old battle of duvet hogging - something which reportedly shockingly ends in one in six relationship break ups. Who knew?

The infinite duvet boasts a roller system in the base to ensure the cover is always evenly distributed. So as you turn over during the night, it revolves and adjusts through the rollers in the system's base, so that your partner isn't hard done by and you can both twist and turn as you please.

Sounds dreamy - literally.

The company came up with the idea after it conducted research on 2000 adults, which revealed duvet stealing as one of the top areas of bedtime conflict between couples.

One in four people believe a restless night by a duvet-hogging partner can make them see red and people are breaking up over it all too often.

Steve Reid, CEO of Simba, said: "Duvet stealing is a sore subject among British couples - a bedroom habit that's the catalyst for hundreds of arguments.

"We thought it could be fun to explore how we me might put some of these tensions to bed."

But the ingenuity of this duvet system does not stop there, because you will also be pleased to hear it has a remote controlled self-making function.

Yes, this bed will make itself, so when you're rushing around in the morning in a bid to get to work on time, it's one less thing to worry about.

On top of that, when the bed revolves around the base, it is automatically pressed and steamed, cleaning it and making it look nice too. It is genius.

These added functions will also help relieve tension in the household, with three in ten people feeling infuriated when they arrive home to an untidy bedroom with an unmade bed - with one in five actually arguing with their partner for not doing it.

The only downside is you cannot buy it just yet, as it's still in the computer-aided design stage.

But when this duvet drops, we're so getting it.
