Why the 'zero dating theory' could explain why men and women approach relationships differently

Why the 'zero dating theory' could explain why men and women approach relationships differently

If may explain why you're so unlucky in love

If one of your New Year's resolutions for 2024 was to have a better love life then you may want to take note as a brand-new dating theory is sweeping social media which could explain why men and women approach relationships so differently.

The theory in question, known as the 'zero dating theory', has been credited to TikToker Chief Ojo (@chiefojo), and it's leaving people utterly 'mind blown'.

It may as well explain why you've possibly been unlucky when it comes to the weird and wonderful world of romance...

Podcast hosts Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo, took to their Giggly Squad podcast to discuss the theory with Hannah starting off: "Oh my God. I have a new dating theory."

She continued: "I can't credit the right person but it was not from me, it was someone on TikTok, that men date from zero."

Opening up about the theory further, Hannah explained that when men meet you and first dating dating you, 'you're a zero' and 'you have to build up to earn them wanting to date you'.

However, she went on, girls supposedly 'date from 100'.

"We meet you and we go, 'You are perfect', and then we realise all the things that gets you down," Hannah added. "I've never heard anything more f**king accurate."

Paige chimed in: "We go in reverse order!

"If I'm meeting you, I've already thought in my head what your personality is like, what your family is like, what you dress like, what our life is going to be like together and then I meet you and you're none of those things because, obviously, that's insane.

"I made them up in my head."

Hannah continued: "Where men, I guess don't make stuff up in their head.

"I would always go into dates with men being 100. I'd be like 'He's perfect', and then sometimes he'll even do not perfect things and you'll be like, 'Oh, just I'll deduct two points, I'll just deduct one'.

"That's girl math."

The video has since clocked up over one million views along with hundreds of comments eager to share their verdicts on the 'zero dating theory'.

One TikTok user penned: "This is so real."

"Wait this is so true and if they start going down they really can’t go back up," wrote a second, while a third chimed in: "Oh yeah I saw this... it's so true! We go backwards and then THEY RUIN IT!!!"

"Why we get icks," quipped a fourth, while a fifth praised: "Absolute facts!"

Another echoed: "This put into words what we’ve all known to be true!"

"Good lord this is totally true!" admitted a final TikTok user. "Mind blown!"
