Any singletons out there will know that the dating scene can be confusing at the best of times and a total minefield at the worst.
From submarining, bread-crumbing and even getting 'zombied' - we all know that navigating the weird and wonderful world of romance can sometimes be a right faff.
But it appears women all over have a whole lot more on their hands than simply getting 'vultured' or even getting stuck in the dreaded 'Ben stage' after one woman was left stunned when a man invited her to McDonald's on their very first date. Check it out:
The woman, Vanessa, took to TikTok to share with her 23.2k followers the latest in her love life.

She began: "If you're single and on the dating apps, I just wanted to tell you that I was talking to this guy on hand for a little while, and things were going really well."
According to the TikToker, her date then asked if he could take her out for dinner to which she responded: "Yeah, sure! Why not?"
So, the bloke sent her the address of the meeting spot which Vanessa 'didn't even question'. Let's just say, she was left far less than thrilled about his choice in eatery.
"I showed up to the address and it was McDonald's," she revealed before telling her fellow singles to 'stay safe out there'.
Vanessa, who was holding a Maccies drink cup throughout the video, captioned the short clip with: "At least I got a free Diet Coke out of it."

The TikTok has since racked up more than 331.9k views with hundreds of comments from people eager to share their verdict on the first date idea.
Many were beyond baffled, with one TikTok user claiming: "When people ask me why I’m not on the apps, I’m showing them this video.
"Ugh. It’s so exhausting out here," penned a second.
A third hit out: "I mean come on … it’s a first date."
"Shoulda been a red flag that he sent you an address instead of the name of the eatery haha," advised a fourth.

Another exclaimed: "LIKE WHY IS DATING SO HARD THESE DAYS? Idk what to believe and what not to at this point..."

Others, however, were way more understanding of the cost-effective simplicity of a Maccies outing, with one pointing out: "It could've been so much worse. I think you lucked out! Enjoy!"
