Ellen DeGeneres has reunited a British couple who lost their engagement ring down a grid, with the New York police officers who rescued the precious jewel.
John Drennan had gone down on one knee in Central Park to ask Daniella Anthony to be his wife.
However, as the ring was slightly too big for Daniella the ring fell through a gap in a grid shortly after she said yes.
Footage released by the NYPD showed the pair both get down on their hands and knees to search for the ring but they were unable to retrieve it.

Luckily the NYPD managed to find the ring and called on the public to help them identify the couple.
Thanks to social media NYPD found the couple but by then the pair had already flown back to the UK.
Chat show host Ellen was desperate to reunite the police officers with the couple so they could finally get the ring back and have their happy ending.

On the show John, 36, explained how the couple were walking back from a show when he went to hold Daniella's hand and unintentionally knocked the ring off her finger.
Ellen said: "So you did it? You knocked it off!"
John agreed and added that he had actually convinced Daniella to wear the ring out even though she was worried as it was too big for her finger.

He said: "I just said, Danielle we've just got engaged. 10 years we've been together. 10 years you've waited on this ring. Come on, it's staying on your finger - it'll be fine."
Ellen simply replied: "So again, your fault!"
She then asked the couple where the ring was now and when they replied to say the NYPD police department still had it Ellen surprised the couple by bringing the officers onto the show.

Of course, it would have been a shame to waste the moment so John got down on one knee and asked Daniella to marry him again.
Thankfully she said yes.
