A bride called off her wedding after guests refused to contribute $1500 (£1,170) towards her big day.

The bride claims the money was to go towards helping her have a 'big blow out wedding', and be a Kardashian for the day.

The wedding had cost the happy couple $60,000 (£46k) but the pair only saved up $15,000 (£11,600) themselves, which is why they were asking guests to contribute towards their big day.

However, their guests weren't too happy with having to pay for their place at the ceremony and reception.

The bride, Susan, then posted a furious rant on Facebook about how the amount she was asking for 'wasn't unreasonable', declaring that she had since called off the wedding.

Her entire rant was then shared on Mumsnet by somebody else, and many users agreed with the wedding guests.

Susan said: "We'd sacrificed so much and only asked each guest for around $1500. We talked to a few people who even promised us more to make our dream come true.

"My maid of honour (who shall not be named) pledged $5,000 along with her planning services. We tearfully thanked and accepted.

"My ex's family offered to contribute $3,000. So our request for $1500 for all other guests was not f*cking out of the ordinary.

"Like, we made it CLEAR. If you couldn't contribute, you weren't invited to our exclusive wedding. It's a once in a lifetime party."

It got even worse when her then husband-to-be suggested a Vegas wedding - to Susan's horror.

She wrote: "My ex came into the room and offered to get a Vegas wedding done.

"I laughed in his face, but he was dead serious. He wanted those cheap, raggedy, filthy, wh*re-like Vegas weddings. I mean WHAT the f*ck??"

Susan makes her point even clearer at the end of the rant. She finished: "Anyway. I am exhausted. I am bone tired. My heart is not the same. Its stone cold. Fragmented. Empty.

"I need to get away from this awful society. How hard would it to have been to f*cking donate, friends? Do I matter to you? Just f*cking give me money for my wedding. Won't even sugarcoat."

Hopefully Susan finds the kind of friends she is looking for while backpacking across South America and she can live like a Kardashian every day.
