Woman 'Steals' Sofa From House Of Fraser After They Refuse To Deliver It

A woman from Stockton appeared on This Morning on Monday to tell how she 'stole' her own sofa from House of Fraser after they failed to deliver it.

Fiona Boston appeared alongside Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby sat on the infamous sofa that she paid £1,500 for, just days before the department store went into administration.

As a result, Fiona and her husband Alan, who nearly passed away at Christmas after a brain aneurysm, living on deck chairs in their front room...

Despite having paid for the couches, as well as another £700 for the cushions and a pouffe, House of Fraser told Fiona they would be unable to deliver the sofa and asked her to apply for a refund.

However, after the company went into administration, Fiona wasn't confident that she'd ever get her money back so decided to take matters into her own hands.

Sick of seeing her husband having to sit on a deck chair after being so poorly, Fiona enlisted the help of her son-in-law and as many strong people that she could find.

Along with a van, Fiona, her son-in-law and a few others drove to House of Fraser in Darlington and dismantled the sofa that sitting in the store.

She told Holly and Phillip: "I said I've had enough. I've absolutely had it up to here with them. Alan was so weak. Saturday morning I woke up and said I'm having my suite."

Fiona and her gang managed to get the sofa down two flights of stairs and into the back of the van with the help of staff in the store, however just a mile down the road they were stopped by the police.

When she showed the receipt for the sofa, the police decided that she hadn't stolen it and that it was a civil matter between House of Fraser and Fiona.
