A woman says she is considering divorcing her husband of two years, as he insists on naming their unborn baby girl after one of his ex-girlfriends.
The expectant mum took to Reddit to fume over her hubby's requests, revealing that a 'divorce was now on the table' as he won't back down.
She claimed that the baby name wasn't just of any old ex-girlfriend either but 'the one he dated for long period of time and loved the most'.

Revealing that she is seven months pregnant, the woman shared: "In the beginning of our relationship, we had many problems because of her but she moved away so the problems went away [sic].
"He really loved her and he never hid that from me but I thought it was over once she moved away."
She continued: "Now he made it clear that he wants the baby to have that name and I can name the second child.

"When I asked him why does he want that name so badly he said just because he and his ex didn't work out doesn't mean he doesn't want something to keep reminding him of her.
"He doesn't understand how much its affecting me and keeps saying it's just the hormones. Is he still in love with the ex or its normal that he wants to name OUR child like that [sic]?"
The thread quickly racked up hundreds of replies from other Reddit users who all assured the woman that it was not 'just the hormones'.
One ranted: "She should not back down. Should NOT name their daughter after his old girlfriend!!"
"Divorce him and name her after yourself so he has to call his daughter by YOUR name every time he speaks to her," declared another.

While a third added: "Your husband doesn't sound like he's fully in it with you, if he is still pining for an ex to the point of naming a baby after her. That's just mind boggling."
Other users suggested other options outside of divorce, with one writing: "Just give the first child a double barrel first name. Both being names that make either parent uncomfortable. Everyone loses."
Some even revealed the pain of being named after their parents' exes themselves, with somebody else sharing: "I'm a girl who was named after my dad's lover (mom had no idea) and I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE my name.
"He just casually told me on one occasion. In general, the name is beautiful but when I think about the reason why was I named like that it makes me puke."
