This Girl Came Up With An Ingenious Solution For What To Do If You Spill Red Wine On Your White Outfit

Basically, all you need to do is add more wine.

It's every girl's worst nightmare and the reason we've stopped wearing white on a night out TBH.

But when quick-thinking Eleanor Walton was faced with a disastrous red wine spill during a trip to the races earlier this week, she wasn't about to let it ruin her whole day.

The 19-year-old from Leeds was at Ripon Races when a rowdy punter bumped into her and split red wine all down her white jumpsuit.

Worried her outfit was ruined and that she'd had to head home, she sought out the help of her friend and the two quickly concocted an ingenious solution, creating a whole new look in the process.

Rather than cry over split red wine, the teens nabbed five extra glasses from the free bar and headed to the loos where Eleanor hastily stripped off her Pretty Little Thing jumpsuit before the pair soaked it in more wine.

20-minutes spent under a hand dryer later and the bar tender's outfit was totally transformed.

Eleanor's friend Mia Williamson, 18, explained: "Our intuition just kicked in. It was a free bar so I said to Eleanor 'let's go and get as much red wine as we can and we'll sort it out in the toilet.'

We got in there and she stripped off in the cubicle while I found a plug for the sink."

"I just poured all the wine in one go and hoped for the best. We pulled it out the sink and it just happened to turn into this magical, glorious pattern," she added.

While commenting that Eleanor ended up missing the race that she put a bet on, "quite a few people were complementing her outfit afterwards," said Mia. "It looks like a unique piece."

Sharing her experience to Twitter, Eleanor's post has since gone viral, racking up 15.1K retweets and 158.4K likes.

Obviously proud of their creative customer, Pretty Little Thing took to Twitter to praise Eleanor's quick thinking, saying: "Safe to say that wasn't a 'pour decision'."

While we're not sure we'd intentionally douse our clothes in red wine, we're actually quite digging this look. Perhaps Pretty Little Thing will bring out a copy-cat version any day now...
