A teenage girl who beat cancer twice and just gave birth to her first child has tragically died in car crash.

Aria Mia Gonzalez was first diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma when she was 14 and, just three years later, was diagnosed again with cancer.

Gonzalez, 17, was 30 weeks pregnant at the time of the diagnosis with her unborn child, Se'vyn Sayori Gonzalez.

Despite battling with the diagnosis, the resilient mum was able to give birth to Se'vyn and 'had to go through the challenges of being a young mom and battling cancer again'.

Earlier this month (1 October), the girl was in a devastating car crash in from Kansas City along Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard that also claimed the lives of two of her friends, 19-year-olds Ashanti Hill and Aniyah Lewis according to the Kansas City Police Department.

The crash reportedly took place a little before 1am when Hill was driving the three teenagers in a black Ford Taurus.

She lost control of the vehicle and it hit a tree near East 45th Terrace, police say.

Gonzalez was reported to have been sitting in the front passenger seat while Lewis was in the back seat of the car.

Gonzalez’s cousin, Ariella Camaraza, has since opened up about the 17-year-old's 'tough obstacles' in dealing with her cancer battles.

On a GoFundMe page titled 'In Loving Memory: Supporting Aria Mia's Family', Ariella writes: "We are devastated to share the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of Aria Mia Gonzalez. She was a beloved family member/friend who brought immense joy to those around her.

"Our real life warrior who overcame so many tough obstacles."

She continued: "In the wake of this devastating loss, we are coming together to support Mia's mother, Ada Camaraza, during this incredibly challenging time.

"We aim to provide financial assistance to cover memorial expenses and alleviate the immediate financial burdens faced by the family."

The funds raised are intended to contribute to organising a 'meaningful memorial' to celebrate Mia’s life and 'provide a lasting tribute to the beautiful memories she created'.

The fundraiser adds: "A portion of the funds will be allocated to support the ongoing well-being and upbringing of baby Se’vyn, ensuring she has the necessary resources for a stable and nurturing environment."

At the time of writing, $1,670 has been raised out of the $5,000 goal.
