Because we’re leaving all our windows and doors open during this heatwave…

Sweltering outside, isn't it? While we always welcome the sunshine with open arms, what we don't embrace is the influx of bugs it inevitably brings - especially when we have to keep all our windows and doors open if we don't want to die from heat stroke.

Luckily Aldi has a genius solution to keep out the insects while still letting air in and it comes in the form of these handy door screens.

Measuring 90 x 210 x 45cm, Zero In's Magnetic Doorway Insect Curtains are have a self-closing design and are super easy to install - simply attach the Velcro to your door frame on one side and the screen on the other. There are options for your windows, too, and both screens will set you back just £3.99 (you get two screens in the window pack).

The fly screens have racked up some five-star reviews on Aldi's website, too, with one saying: "Fabulous, so easy to fit to the door frame. Love it that no flies to swat this year. Just walk through it, and it will click shut behind you."

Another was equally enthusiastic, posting: "Have purchased three of these over time...considering the price point they do a great job! Even managed to get one to last over from last summer to this year...fantastic value product again from Aldi!!!"

This user was also happy with the low price point: "Very easy to fit, the Velcro strips are great for initial fitting and allow for adjustment. The pins finish the job a treat. Used it on my workshop door to keep the fly's and wasps out and it works. Great value for money."

If you're hosting a BBQ this weekend and will be in and out the door with the drinks, we reckon this could be an absolute life saver.
