We've all been guilty of it: sitting down for food with our significant other, knowing we aren't hungry enough for a dish of our own, but unable to resist picking away at their dish when it arrives looking all tempting and delicious, much to their irritation.

Well one restaurant has found the solution to this very problem, with an option on the menu to add extra sides, aptly named 'My Girlfriend Is Not Hungry'. Genius.

Mama D's, a diner located in North Little Rock in Arkansas, near Jacksonville, is the establishment behind the clever idea.

For an extra $4.25 (£3.38), you can add the 'My Girlfriend Is Not Hungry' upgrade which, instead of offering another side dish, adds extra french fries and fried chicken wings, or fried cheese sticks to your main course.

The novel menu has since gone viral, but first caught the attention of the public when it was posted to Facebook by Nick Chisler who visited the restaurant.

The post has since been shared over 22,000 times, with thousands of people tagging their signification others, proving its a global problem.

"We have to try this," wrote one girlfriend.

"Omg our answers have been answered," said another exasperated boyfriend.

"Hahaha most accurate thing I've ever seen," jeered another.

Comedian Kevin Fredericks had some thoughts on the menu addition, posting an impassioned video on Twitter.

"Every restaurant needs to adopt this to their menu," he said, adding: "You want to talk about saving marriages, this is the type of thinking we need in the world."

Explaining that his wife is never hungry but instead "pick hungry," Kevin said: "The one thing she doesn't seen to understand after 15 glorious years of marriage is that I order according to my hunger level, so if I order a large fries and you pick them, I'm not eating a large fries anymore, am I?

"It's only a fry or two to you but my stomach was waiting for that, ok?"

Pretty spot on - plus, we all remember the Joey doesn't share food scene in Friends, don't we?

Obviously it's not just the girls who suffer from food-stealing partners, so we reckon this should be rolled out in every restaurant globally. Just brilliant.
