Hallmark Hotels are celebrating National Carers Week by offering the 6.5million people who provide care and support to those in need a free stay at one of their hotels.
The luxury hotel group launched to initiative in the hope it will give carers the opportunity to relax after recent figures predicted that the number of carers will increase 60 percent before 2030.
The stay will be valid every Sunday throughout June to 1st December, when carers spend £50 on food and drink in one of the 21 hotels' bars and restaurants they have around the country
In addition, the hotel group is also making ten further one night stays available, without the £50 minimum spend.
Carers can be nominated for one of these stays by anyone who visits the Hallmark Hotels website and fills in the online form.
Speaking about the initiative, Hallmark Hotels, Debbie Neate said: "Figures suggest that three in five people are set to become carers at some point in their lives - it's more important than ever that they are given a helping hand and rewarded for their hard work and dedication.
"We want to try and make things a little easier in some small way by offering a chance to unwind."
Writing on their website, they said: "To mark Carers Week 2019 (June 10th - 16th), Hallmark Hotels is offering all carers a free night stay to recognise the millions of people across the UK who provide care and support to family, friends and loved ones in need.
"To celebrate the wonderful work our carers do, we'd like to invite all carers to stay for FREE at one of our 21 Hallmark Hotels on Sundays until 1st December 2019!
Adding: "To qualify, simply spend a minimum of £50 on food and drink in our Hallmark Grill or lounge bar. Our menu offers a classic selection of both comforting and healthy options.
"With 21 locations to choose from throughout the UK from Glasgow to Chester, down to Gloucester and Bournemouth, we look forward to welcoming our carers, student nurses, NHS workers, private nursing staff and other members of the emergency services who care for people in the community for a well-deserved break."
