Woman shares 'mind-blowing' hack for sparkling clean floors without using dirty mop water

Viewers called her a 'genius'

When it comes to doing chores, I think it's safe to say we can't really stand them.

Washing the dishes is a total drag, making the shower door sparkle takes an age. And don’t get us started on taking the bins out...

The truth is, no matter how much we hate it, we have to do it.

That’s why sometimes, social media proves to be a much-needed saviour, with savvy content creators using their platform to share ‘cleaning hacks’ that make our lives easier.

We were blown away by the ingenious £5 bathroom cleaning method that we still use to this day - so when there’s a new hack, we’re all ears.

Using this simple trick ensures the dirty mop never goes back into dirty water after straining.

This time around, there’s a foolproof way to make sure your floors are sparkling.

With this method, you no longer need to dread buckets of filthy grey mop bucket water putting a dampener on your day.

The usual method we’re used to is pouring out the dirty water, refilling our bucket and adding in more floor cleaner. This is time consuming and expensive - have you seen how much cleaning products cost these days?!

TikToker Samina Iltaf has come to the rescue - posting a video to her 45,000 followers which shows a simple but very effective way to make mopping the floor less draining.

Iltaf shows her cleaning set up, which is a Vileda mop and bucket set. Where the dirty water goes - and where we’d usually dunk our mop back into - Iltaf has placed a second bucket, with clean soapy water.

Using this simple trick ensures the dirty mop never goes back into dirty water after straining.

Huge life hack.

One person said the hack is brilliant.

Speaking to The Mirror, Iltaf further explained: "Instead of mixing the mop into dirty water after every use I used a small bucket filled with warm clean water and floor cleaner.”

She continued: “Once the area of the floor is moped nicely, I would then rinse out any dirty water left that I used in the first round. I then go onto using the clean water washing the mop ready for round two, then rinsing it clean. This becomes less dirty as you can see the results are shown in the video."

Viewers were obviously delighted with this lightbulb moment.

One simply wrote: “Genius.”

Another added: “Whoa! Brilliant!”

Saving that one for later...
