Social media is the home of perfect pictures and envy-inducing statuses: orange sunsets, tropical holidays and impossibly glamorous nights out. It's also the place you'll find a lot of gorgeous babies, well-behaved kids and pregnant women looking radiant and polished.

That's probably why one mum is getting thousands of likes for admitting how parenting really feels sometimes. In a sea of flawless images, mum-of-two Victoria, AKA The Crafty Fox, is telling it how it is.

Her latest post, describing how her newborn daughter 'conquered my cervix with her giant cranium' and left her unable to wash 'down there' for weeks, has got fellow mums up and down the country applauding.

Victoria has just had a second baby, alongside a toddler, and is brutally honest about the madness that has ensued - and the impact having baby Edith has had on all aspects of her life: especially her body.

Her account is not for the faint-hearted, but if you've been dying for some reality in among all those perfect mother accounts, you're in for a treat.

Don't be surprised to find full paragraphs on hemorrhoids, pregnancy nipples and calling her toddler out for misbehaving with brutal honesty.

Check out her Instagram stories offer up to the minute experiences with everything from dealing with tantrums, breastfeeding and a messy house. There are also some hilarious, and actually super creative she puts together with her husband - who isn't spared in her funny captions either.

While we all know to take a pinch of salt with every Instagram shot (let's face it, we've probably all posted a picture that makes everything look a bit better than we feel) it's still reassuring to come across accounts like Victoria's every once in a while.

So if you feel your feed is just a non-stop scroll of mums who look like they have everything under control, follow Victoria for a well-deserved dose of reality like this gem: "So if you're a new Mum and you haven't managed to leave the house, get dressed, brush your teeth or wash your fanny in days, know that you're not alone." Hear, hear.
