With all the bad news going on in the world, it pays to hear about small acts on kindness - and the best one we've heard for a long time comes from an eight-year-old boy.
When Christian Moore saw soon-to-be new classmate Connor Crites crying on the floor ahead of their first day at Minneha Elementary School in Wichita, Kansas, he bent down to console him before taking his hand and walking him to the door.
The moment caught on camera by Christian's mother, Courtney, in photos that have now gone viral for their unabashed pureness.

"I saw him on the ground with Connor as Connor was crying in the corner and he was consoling him," she explained to KAKE.
"He grabs his hand and walks him to the front door. We waited until the bell rang and he walked him inside of the school. The rest is history. They have an inseparable bond."
Connor, who has autism, said: "He was kind to me. I was in the first day of school and I started crying then he helped me and I was happy.
"He found me and held my hand and I got happy tears."
Connor's mother, April Crites, is overjoyed at the boys' friendship. She added: "I fear everyday that someone is going to laugh at him because he doesn't speak correctly, or laugh at him because he doesn't sit still or because he jumps up and down and flaps his hands."

Posting the photo on Facebook, Courtney added: "It is an honor to raise such a loving, compassionate child! He's a kid with a big heart, the first day of school started off right."
The photos seemed to touch people all across the world.
"Such a beautiful story! This is my goal with my son.. Before anything else, be kind," wrote one person underneath the post.
"That's the world we're fighting for. What a great job of parenting and what an exceptional young man," penned another.

"How sweet. I love this. What a great kid and man to be He is obviously mimicking his parents. Hooray for them doing a great job," said a third.
Too cute! More people in the world like this please.
