Innovation at its finest.

The New Year is always a good time to have a full spring clean so we can ditch any old products and keep our homes looking organised and tidy (something that's now all the more important, seeing as we're going to be spending the foreseeable future indoors).

One area that will certainly benefit from us channelling our inner Marie Kondo is our makeup drawers. We're all guilty of hanging onto some products that are well past their sell-by-date, resulting in clutter we really don't need.

And if you're looking for a simple and inexpensive way to store your makeup effectively, then you needn't look any further than Poundland.

One genius woman has turned to the discount store's rotating spice rack to store her makeup - and the results are amazing.

Taking to the Facebook group Poundland Appreciation Society, Faye Ward revealed the £2 kitchen storage unit, which was made available in stores in January last year, was perfect for stacking her beauty products.

"I'm obsessed with this!" she wrote after posting the video which showed off the unit.

And Faye's tip has seemingly inspired many copycats, who quickly praised the idea and vowed to try it out themselves in the comments section.

"Omg! Need!" wrote one fan, while another said: "Getting one for my dressing table."

"I got one of these for m daughter and it's still going strong, she loves it," a third added.

The stackable spice rack is also favoured by new mums, who are using it as a baby food station to save space in their cupboards.

Singing the praises of the rack, one savvy mum posted a video on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.

"It works so well!" she wrote, as she displayed her baby food sachets.

Mrs Hinch, eat your heart out.

In other Poundland news, the store has been praised for shoppers after one mum revealed their local shop had sent over a brand new Poundland uniform for her autistic son.

The little boy is a huge fan of Poundland, and was in need of a pick-me-up after the third lockdown meant all schools across the UK were closed.
