A man has shared a bargain hack for keeping hot tubs clean for weeks - and the key tool is a £4 pair of tights.
A combination of lockdown and hot weather has seen UK hot tub sales surge, with eBay seeing orders soar by 1,080 per cent back in April.
But while a dip in that hot bubbling water is seriously luxurious, hot tubs need maintenance.

Keeping your tub clean and the water clear requires upkeep, particularly if your tub is the cheaper blow-up variety.
That's where a clever hack masterminded by DIY enthusiast Aaron Evans comes in, which involves wrapping the hot tub filter in a pair of nylon tights.
Posting photos of his method to popular Facebook group DIY On A Budget UK, Aaron wrote: "Best way ever to keep your hot tubs clean haven't been emptied in weeks and still clean as ever!"

Speaking about the hack to The Daily Star online, Aaron explained that he came up with the method when "trying to save money on buying filters all the time".
He said: "I bought a pair of nylon tights - as I know how thin they are."
"All I do is cut a pair of tights the same size as the filter and put it over the filter.

"That way, all the muck and bits in the hot tub - or even swimming pools - collects and sticks to the tights instead of the filter.
"It's simple and also keeps the water crystal clean."
If you're keen to try the hack yourself, it's worth noting that you should still wash your hot tub filter at least once a month to prevent the spread of bacteria.
Aaron's post racked up a lot of comments, with fellow users sharing their tips on how they keep their hot tubs clean.

One wrote: "I use chlorine daily in mine and check the pH balance daily too."
While another suggested using "chlorine tablets after ever use to kill all the bacteria."
All we need now is a hot tub to try this out on. Brb, just off to trawl Amazon longingly.
