If you've never been in a Wetherspoon pub before, you might struggle to understand its appeal.
Sometimes a little worn and always a little rowdy, the chain is practically an institution over here in the UK, thanks to its super cheap pints and food menus.
But some American TikTok users are just discovering the Spoons for the first time, and they're pretty bowled over.

In one resurfaced clip, shared on the video platform this time last year, a US holidaymaker named Malory, tells followers: "There's this place called Wetherspoons in England, and it's so freaking good! (sic)."
Pointing at the menu, Malory - who can be found under account @mal_lo_ry - then proceeds to show everyone how cheap everything is, before basking in the excitement of the free refills.

When he veggie fry up arrives, the stunned traveller exclaims: "Ok, so we got all of this food, plus a coffee, for £10".
This was roughly the equivalent of $13 at the time she made the vid.
"Didn't get two pitchers? Disgusting," one British Spoons regular teased, under the clip as it resurfaced on Twitter.
While another joked: "She hasn't even touched upon the beer variety".
"Just wait till she discovers how far away the toilets are," another wrote.

The best part is, Malory liked it so much that she went back to another Spoons in Scotland!
Another American also brought up Wetherspoon on the video app - although she wasn't lucky enough to have visited herself.

Claire, who's TikTok handle is @clairefromwhere, asked why everybody was so obsessed with the chain.
In a clip entitled "HELP AN AMERICAN GIRL OUT PLS/THX," she asks followers: "Can someone please explain what Wetherspoons is because I keep seeing it everywhere. (sic).
"And I know it's not like a specific bar or specific pub, but I just- I don't get it. What is it?"
"It's like a McDonald's, but they sell cheap alcohol, and the toilets are in another country," wrote one person in the comments of her video.

TikTok user Christy Ann Collins (@thechristycollins) pretty much explained the chain in a nutshell.
"In the UK, everyone calls it 'Spoons. Three Jagerbombs for a fiver, two pitchers for £12 and you can get yourself a meal and a pint for about £6," she wrote.
"The rumours are true: you have to walk a while to get to the loo. However, the price of the drinks just makes that OK.
"It's usually a place in the UK we go for 'prinks' or 'day drinks'."
Another similarly mocked: "The toilets have a different postcode".
"It's a way of life," another person replied, as a fellow Wetherspoon fan simply wrote: "Best place on earth".
Ah, Americans. You haven't lived until you've been to your local for a purple rain pitcher.
