The Facebook Group Where Millennials Post Like Baby Boomers Is Hilarious

Clear your afternoon, because you're going to want to read every single one of these hilarious posts from a Facebook baby boomer group.

Another day, another funny Facebook group. This time it's the turn of "A group where we all pretend to be boomers", in which millennials are taking to the page to post just like their parents, uncles, aunts, cousins and grandparents.

While that's not to say all baby boomers use social media in an embarrassing way, we can certainly see some familiar habits in the group that definitely belong to some of our older relatives.

Twitter user @Manhattanna started a thread, writing "joined that Facebook group where you can only talk like Boomers and I'm having the time of my life" and posting pictures of some of the hilarious posts in the group, soon racking up hundreds of thousands of likes.

The posts, many of which were all in capital letters, ranged from "jokes" such as "at this age I need glasses... WINE GLASSES. LOL" to out of place comments on photos, such as "Anna, this is cousin Erin from Springdale. I am writing to tell you that your great uncle Thomas is having some trouble walking. We have hired an aid... talk soon".

Other laugh-out-loud posts included terrible photos, such as one of a blurry grey background captioned "Dinner with Tom", and rambling, sad but misspelt status updates on colourful and cheerful backgrounds such as "Wanda's husband is in the ER again. They doctors don't think he will make it through the night. Preying all goes well...... HOW TO GET RID OF ANTS".

The millennials in the group also poke fun at the tendency of boomers to veer wildly from the original purpose of a status update to a political statement in just a few sentences - as well as highlighting how much boomers love minions.

One posted a minion joke and wrote: "Hhe he he he he oh gosh this is knee slapping funny if not a bit off colour oh well my randy always said I had a dirty sense of humour he past away last fall I miss him everyday as my mother use to say what dosent kill you makes u stronger she past in 1985 and I still miss her she's in God's arms now with my randy God bless America MAGA" [sic].

Right, that goes any productivity today: we're straight on that Facebook group to laugh out loud and try to come up with some funny posts of our own.
